Arriving somewhere new is easier when you already know a few faces. MeetNomad is a social app that helps you see who is staying where, when — and digital nomad meetups are how those introductions turn into real-life friendships. Instead of hoping you'll bump into people, you can find an event, RSVP, and show up knowing others will be there too.
What a MeetNomad meetup looks like
Meetups are created by members, for members. They tend to be simple and low-pressure: a potluck, a co-working day, a beach walk, or a Sunday service. Every meetup lists a title, a public meeting place, and a start time. Signed-in members can see the RSVP list, so you know who else is planning to come before you head out.
You can browse meetups in places like Comanche, Texas; Sarasota, Florida; Boston, Massachusetts; Durrës, Albania; and Yunnan, China — or any other city where members are staying. If there's nothing on the calendar yet, you can be the first to host one.
Safety comes first
Every digital nomad meetup on MeetNomad takes place at a public meeting place, such as a café, coworking space, park, or place of worship. A home address is never accepted as a meeting point. MeetNomad is for adults only — every member confirms they are 18 or older — and verified badges mark profiles our team has reviewed.
If something feels off, you can report or block a member in one tap. Blocked members can't see or contact each other, and reports are reviewed by our team, who may dismiss, warn, or suspend accounts. Our Community Guidelines explain what we expect from everyone.
From meetup to friendship
Meetups work best alongside the rest of the app. Add your upcoming stay — the place and the month — and Explore shows other members whose stays overlap with yours. Tap "Send hello" to start a chat, then suggest meeting at the next event. Exact stay dates stay private: other members only see the place and month until you've both accepted a connection.

How to get started
Create a profile with your first name, a photo, your interests, and how you like to work and live. Add your stay, browse the meetups in that place, and RSVP to one that suits you — or create your own with a public meeting place and a time. That's it: you'll arrive with plans and people to see on day one.
