Company for the long stay
Slow travel is the best kind of travel until you are three weeks in and still eating alone. MeetNomad was built for that stretch: you add an upcoming stay with the place and the month, and Explore shows the other members whose stays overlap with yours — first name, photo, and interests, so you can spot people you would genuinely enjoy meeting.
How it works
1. Create a profile. First name, photo, age range (18 and older only), home country, languages, interests, and work style. A faith community is optional.
2. Add your stay. Just the place and the month — Comanche, Texas; Sarasota, Florida; Boston, Massachusetts; Durrës, Albania; Yunnan, China; or any other city you type in.
3. See who overlaps. Pick a place and a month and MeetNomad lists the members planning to be there at the same time.
4. Say hello. Tap "Send hello" and a private chat opens, visible only to the two of you.
Share a month, split the rent — clearly
Many members use MeetNomad to find someone to share a month with, and plenty of them work out a shared place or split costs between themselves. To be straight with you: MeetNomad helps you meet people. It does not rent rooms, arrange housing, or take part in any agreement members make with each other. Anything about a rent split is between you and the person you are talking to, and our Terms of Service say so plainly.
Meet in public, at your own pace
When you are ready to meet face to face, do it at a public place — a café, a coworking space, a park, a market, a place of worship. MeetNomad meetups always list a public meeting place and never a home address. Meetups are member-organized: members post what they feel like hosting, so what is on the list depends on who is in town. We do not promise specific meetup dates, venues, or attendance here.
Your plans stay your business
Other members see only the place and month of your stay. Your exact dates unlock only once you and another member have connected mutually — both of you have to accept. Every member is 18 or older, verified badges mark profiles our team has reviewed, and you can report or block anyone in a single tap. Blocked members cannot see or contact each other.

Frequently asked questions
What is a slow-travel companion on MeetNomad?
A member who will be in the same place during the same month as you. You add your stay with the place and month, Explore shows members whose stays overlap with yours, and you can say hello before either of you arrives.
Can retirees find a slow-travel companion on MeetNomad?
Yes. MeetNomad is open to adults aged 18 and older, and every member chooses an age range on their profile. That makes it easy to find companions in the same season of life as you.
Does MeetNomad arrange the housing or the rent split?
No. MeetNomad is a social introduction service. It does not provide housing and is not a party to any arrangement members make with each other, including how costs are shared.
Where do slow-travel companions meet up?
Meetups are member-organized and always list a public meeting place and a time — never a home address. Members can create events like potlucks, co-working days, beach walks, or Sunday services, and signed-in members can see the RSVP list.
Who can see my exact travel dates?
Only members you have mutually connected with. Everyone else sees just the place and month of your stay. You can also report or block any member, and blocked members cannot see or contact each other.
